The city of Lahijan, known as the Bamboo Capital of Iran, came alive this September as leaders, experts, artists, and community members gathered to celebrate the 7th Annual World Bamboo Day. The event, organized by Aria Exir Faravar Salamat Company and Sabzandishane Shomal Company, marked another milestone in Iran’s growing commitment to bamboo research, innovation, and sustainable development.

The celebration, held in the city’s main conference hall, brought together provincial and local authorities, distinguished scientists, cultural figures, and bamboo activists from across the country. Among the keynote speakers were the Governor of Lahijan, the Director General of Cultural Heritage of Gilan Province, and Dr. Ebrahim Azarpour, a pioneer in the bamboo sector and representative of Aria Exir Faravar Salamat Company.
