Bamboo is more than a plant, it is a solution. From climate resilience and biodiversity conservation to sustainable livelihoods and circular economies, bamboo offers nature-based answers to some of the most urgent challenges of our time. Today, the World Bamboo Organization (WBO) proudly announces the release of its 2025 Annual Partners Report, marking a year of unprecedented growth, global engagement, and transformative impact.
Over the past year, WBO’s mission to champion bamboo as a cornerstone of sustainability has resonated around the world. Our platforms have welcomed more than 37,000 visitors, our digital community has grown to over 65,000 members, and our content has reached audiences with over 250,000 total views. This expanding reach reflects the growing recognition of bamboo’s critical role in addressing climate change, restoring ecosystems, and building resilient communities.
Driving Global Action Through Collaboration
WBO’s momentum this year was driven by dynamic collaboration with partners and stakeholders across continents. From hands-on workshops and policy dialogues to global awareness campaigns, our initiatives connected thousands of people to the transformative potential of bamboo.
To meet the rising global demand for knowledge and innovation, WBO also launched eight specialized Working Groups and established a pioneering Science & Technology Hub, an international platform advancing research, knowledge-sharing, and solutions across the entire bamboo value chain.
“This year’s growth is not just about numbers, it’s about momentum,” said Susanne Lucas, Executive Director of the World Bamboo Organization.
