Orin Hardy is a sustainability entrepreneur, educator, and bamboo advocate based in Bali, Indonesia. He is the Co-Founder of Bamboo U and The Kul Kul Farm, and the Owner of ChopValue Indonesia, working at the intersection of bamboo, regenerative design, sustainable business, and experiential education.
Through Bamboo U, Orin has helped develop one of the world’s leading hands-on education platforms for bamboo design and construction, welcoming participants from around the globe to explore bamboo as a creative, structural, and sustainable building material. His work combines practical learning, design thinking, craftsmanship, and environmental awareness.
Orin has also held leadership roles at Bamboo Pure and has contributed to ecological landscape and food-system projects through Ibuku and The Kul Kul Farm. His background includes permaculture design, organic farming, ecological landscaping, business development, and community-based education.
Raised in Bali and deeply influenced by the island’s relationship with nature, Orin is committed to creating practical ways for people to reconnect with the environment while improving livelihoods and quality of life. Through his businesses and educational initiatives, he continues to promote bamboo, circular economy principles, and regenerative practices as tools for a more sustainable future.
