Bryan Benitez McClelland, aka @bambryan, is a Filipino-American social entrepreneur, ecotourism developer, sustainability designer, and educator. He founded Bamb Ecological Technology, Inc. in 2010 in order to have a platform for his socio-ecological enterprise projects. Bambike, the flagship brand of the company, hand- makes bamboo bicycles with fair-trade labor and sustainable building practices.

Bambike Ecotours leads guided bamboo bicycle tours that share the ecological significance and cultural heritage of the Philippines. Bryan worked as the Director of Sustainability at Enderun Colleges, establishing a pioneer and award-winning undergraduate program in sustainability focused on social entrepreneurship, food systems, and ecotourism development. He also co-founded Philippine Artisan Trade/Batala Bar which serves as a platform for local social enterprises and premium handcrafted food and beverages in Intramuros, the heart of Manila. After 17 years of living and working in the Philippines, he is still fueled with an obsession for bamboo and sustainable livelihood development. Bryan’s goal is to catalyze new green
businesses with appropriate environmental technologies and inclusive growth strategies.
