The Science Hub is structured around three scientific domains, curated and validated by experts affiliated with the World Bamboo Organization to ensure scientific integrity and institutional credibility.

Built on expert-reviewed research and technical knowledge, the Hub provides a trusted foundation for evidence-based engagement. To deepen interaction, it features Dr. Také, an AI-enabled Virtual Bamboo Scientist trained on validated bamboo research, offering structured and reliable scientific guidance.

01

Bamboo Nutrition

Exploring bamboo shoots as a functional food, examining macro and micronutrients, bioactive compounds, food safety considerations, and value chain opportunities.

02

Bamboo Plantations, focus Propagation

Understanding reproductive biology, rhizome systems, micropropagation, and high-throughput output tissue culture to address supply constraints and improve planting material quality for plantation development

03

Bamboo Construction, focus Preservation

Advancing durability science, from traditional preservation methods to boron standards and chemical modification techniques, enabling bamboo as a high-performance structural material

Bamboo is more than a material.

It is a strategic resource for sustainable construction, climate resilience, bioenergy, ecological restoration, and nutrition security.
