At the World Bamboo Organization (WBO), we are committed to advancing bamboo knowledge and education globally. As an Educational Program Coordinator Volunteer, you will be instrumental in developing and managing educational programs and resources focused on bamboo. This role includes organizing and overseeing online events, such as webinars and virtual workshops, to engage diverse audiences and promote our mission.
Role: Develop and manage educational programs and resources related to bamboo for various audiences, including organizing and overseeing online events such as webinars, virtual workshops, and educational sessions.
Responsibilities:
Program Development:
Design and Create:
Develop educational materials and programs on bamboo, including curricula, presentations, and resource guides.
Collaborate with experts, educators, and stakeholders to create engaging and informative content.
Content Alignment:
Ensure that all educational materials align with WBO’s mission and objectives.
Online Event Management:
Planning:
Plan and organize online educational events, including webinars, virtual workshops, and interactive sessions.
Coordinate with speakers and participants to ensure the successful delivery and engagement of events.
Execution:
Set up and manage virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) to facilitate smooth online events.
Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during events.
Content Creation:
Development:
Create engaging educational content for online platforms, including video tutorials, interactive modules, and written resources.
Ensure content is accessible and appealing to a global audience.
Promotion and Outreach:
Collaboration:
Work with the communications team to promote educational programs and online events through social media, newsletters, and other channels.
Engagement:
Engage with participants and stakeholders to gather feedback and improve future programs.
Track and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities and content delivery.
Skills Required:
Educational Program Development: Experience in creating educational materials and programs.
Online Event Management: Familiarity with virtual event platforms and online event logistics.
Content Creation: Ability to develop engaging educational content for online audiences.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organization: Effective management of multiple tasks and deadlines.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of virtual event technology and troubleshooting.
Language: Proficiency in English is essential for this role.
