Joerg Stamm will visit Portugal to teach techniques for building with bamboo. We will learn how to select and harvest poles, as well as how to treat them to assure the maximum strengh and conservation. Theory and practical classes on assembling the bamboo to construct small buildings such as cabins, small bridges, pergolas, etc…
Yves Crouzet will explain the cultivation and uses of bamboo plants in gardens.
Price of the course: 300 €/person (includes lunch)
Accommodations:
On-site, with breakfast and dinner included (from 15€ to 65€ a day).
Additional options include camping, dormitory or simple bedroom.
Space is limited; priority given to the first inscriptions made.
Languages spoken: Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and German
